RESEARCH
SYMPOSIUM
On April 1, 2005, ArtsWork hosted the fourth annual Arts and Education Graduate Student Research Symposium. Held at the Fiesta Inn in Tempe, Arizona, approximately forty faculty members and graduate students from across the fine arts and curriculum studies departments attended the Symposium. Dr. Janet Barrett, an Associate Professor of Music Education at Northwestern University, was the guest speaker and also provided feedback to the graduate students who presented their papers. Three doctoral graduate students at ASU presented their research:
- Sharon Verner Chappell, Curriculum Studies
- Jamie Romine, Theatre for Youth
- Michele Painter Paise, Musical Arts
- Three additional students presented their work as a roundtable:
Betsy Driver, Susan Raymond, and
Debi Meltzer Johnson.
