An Instructional Program by Mary Erickson
How much do you know about ceramics? Do you know what you like? This program invites you first to:
- Explore a very ancient and very contemporary art form,
- Consider what others have judged to be extraordinary, and
- Reflect on your own likes and dislikes.
The program then introduces:
- Traditional ceramic processes,
- Ways ceramic artists use proportions (size relationships) and profiles
And concludes by featuring:
- Ways to finish and fire ceramics,
- With a special emphasis on expressive patterns.
