Reporting Preferences and Judgments
In this activity you will demonstrate your ability to:
· Collect data numerically. · Report data in various
graphical forms. |
Show the five ceramic pieces to at least five people. Show the pieces
online or print out a copy. People might be family members, classmates,
teachers, neighbors, or friends.
- Ask each person which vessel he/she likes the most. Then ask each
person what s/he likes about the vessel.
- Next ask each person which vessel he/she thinks is the best and why.
OR
Your teacher may decide to survey the preferences and judgments of your
class as a group. S/he may then lead a discussion about why particular
vessels appeal to some members of the class and not to others. Your teacher
may also ask you and your classmates to decide which piece you think is
the best and lead a class discussion to discover the criteria each of
you use to reach your judgment.
Report the findings of your survey in at least two of the following ways:
- Raw tallies
- Percentages
- Bar graphs
- Circle Charts
