ASU Theatre for Youth

This section is devoted to theater links we feel have materials that are substantive, well thought out and based on state or national standards - sites that will be helpful to teachers. We've used the American Library Association's criterion for a great site.

There are three sections:

• Drama/Theater education sites: theater education, associations, film/TV education, and special education
  
• Theater sites: has four pages:
  • General theatre: acting/improvisation, Broadway, children's theater/theater for youth, festivals, musicals, playwriting, puppetry, readers theatre, storytelling
  • Design/technical theater: costuming, design, lighting, makeup, sound, stage management, technical theater
  • Theater History: Asian theater, ancient Greek theater, medieval theater, commedia dell’arte, melodrama, realism, musicals, black theater, women in theater
  • Shakespeare, the plays, education sites, resources
    
• Theater web directories and publishers: general, film and television, history, puppetry, publishers

Sites are listed alphabetically and generally have materials that may be downloaded or have addresses for ordering materials. Entries list appropriate grade levels. Last update is noted when the information is available.
