The History of Costume
http://www.siue.edu/COSTUMES/history.html
500 costume designs from Greeks through mid nineteenth century. The designs
were printed from 1861-1880 and thus have a "Victorian" perspective;
but these illustrations can be of real benefit to students seeking the
"look" of a period. Also included is folk dress from most European,
Asian, and African countries. From Southern Illinois University, a great
resource!
