Theatre Education: A Resource of Practical and Project-Based Warm-ups/Theatre Games for K-12

Circle Dash
Text Box: Skills L?I?ßq
Where we learned it: Michael Rohd
Ages: 4th grade and up
Materials: None

Process:

  1. Left Arrow Callout: ® ? The students form a circle with one person being designated as “it” in the middle.
  2. The people in the circle want to try and make eye contact and switch places before “it” can get into one of their spaces.  (It is best to mark each place with a chair behind where everyone is standing.)
  3. It is important that the two people who are going to switch spots make eye contact and visually cue that they agree and are ready.  If “it” gets to one of the spots before the person from the circle, then that person becomes “it.”
