Theatre Education: A Resource of Practical and Project-Based Warm-ups/Theatre Games for K-12

Look and Scream

Ages: 4th grade and up
Materials: None

 

Process:

  1. Left Arrow Callout: ® ? Have the group stand in a circle.
  2. Everyone looks down.
  3. Designate someone to be the counter.
  4. The counter counts, “1,2,3.”
  5. On 3, everyone looks up and looks directly at someone else in the circle.
  6. If the person that you look at is not looking back at you, then you are safe.  If the person that you look at is looking at you too, then you both shout “Ah” and collapse to the ground.
  7. The counter counts again, and those remaining standing look at someone in the circle.
  8. Play until everyone is sitting or until there is one person remaining.
