Theatre Education: A Resource of Practical and Project-Based Warm-ups/Theatre Games for K-12

Link Tag
Text Box: Skills L6 ?q
Where we learned it: Creative Drama at NU
Ages: 3rd grade and up
Materials: None

Process:

  1. Left Arrow Callout: ® ? Have the students pair up and ask for two volunteers, one to start off being “it” and one to be chased.
  2. The pairs of students are scattered around the space with their arms linked (one students right arm and the other’s left).
  3. The student being chased has to avoid being tagged and can link up on an arm of one of the pairs.  If the student links up with one of a pair, the other part of the pair then must unlink and be the one being chased.  If the student forgets he or she can be tagged and then they are “it.”
  4. Also, if the student being chased is ever tagged, the chaser and chasee roles automatically switch.
