NAEP

The National Assessment of Education Progress. Click on "The Arts." Here are the documents illustrating and explaining the national 1997 arts assessment tests and results. Included are student tasks to test creation, performance, and response in each of the four art forms -- and methods for scoring the tasks. This is a brilliantly conceived "authentic" assessment tool that can be a guide for classroom and school assessment.
