1. Where and when does the setting make you think the play takes place?
2. Will the audience be able to see the action, what the actors do?
3. What props do you see?
4. What colors, lines and shapes do you see?
5. How does that make you feel? How does this fit the mood of the play?

Questions about Costume Design
From looking at the costumes what can you tell about the characters and the story?
1. From the costumes, when and where do you think the play takes place? Remember, costumes tell us the period of the play, but also if the characters are at a fancy place, or working, or playing.
2. What do the costumes tell you about the characters?
Who are theY? Are they kids or adults? Are they in charge or are they the servants? Are they young or old? Are they very serious or sad or silly?
