Great Arizona Puppet Theatre

Mission Statement:
Established in 1983 by director Nancy Smith and designer Kenny Bonar, GreatArizona Puppet Theatre (GAPT) is a non-profit organization, founded with the following objectives:
To advance and promote the art of puppetry
To celebrate the Great State of Arizona—its culture, heritage and ecology—through the art of puppetry.
To educate children and families through the art of puppetry.
To make a positive impact on Arizona’s cultural climate, especially as it affects children and families.

Costs:
Admission $6 for children age 2 and up/ $8 for adults
Group Rates: 10-24 people $5 for students / $7 for adults
due one week in advance. 25+ people: $4 per person with two free teachers for every twenty students. 20% deposit a month in advance/balance day of show.
Programs:
Year-round performances in the theater and on tour; Fairy tales, Native American Themes, Arizona Desert Environmental shows and holiday themes performances; summer puppet classes for children; adult puppet theatre series; guest artists from around the country and the world; birthday party and group packages including tours and puppet making; changing puppetry exhibit.
