Looking for a Great Web Site for Kids? We’ve used the four criteria suggested by the American Library Association to choose these sites.

1. Be sure you know who put up the site
2. Be certain the purpose for the site is clear
3. Choose sites that are well organized so that you can find your way around. Be certain it is updated with some regularity
4. Choose sites that have meaningful and useful information

We’ve had special goals for arts sites for kids in addition to the ALA suggestions. The sites must help the kids create and learn about the arts. This means that we’ve worked to avoid sites that include simple copying and crafts.

We’ve divided the links into two sections, each with several pages:

We've made an effort to find safe sites for kids, but as the American Library Association cautions, there is no way to monitor the links at these sites. Parental or teacher supervision is recommended.
