Clarity of Initial Image

  • Your picture demonstrates your relationship to the symbol(s); ADD the symbol(s) ADD has may many layers of meaning

Painting

  • You demonstrated a clear understanding of monochromatic, analogous, and complimentary with your three paintings
  • The three images communicate a mood or feeling

Self Evaluation

  • Your analysis demonstrates an understanding of monochromatic, analogous, and complementary colors
  • In your interpretation you discuss symbol(s), ideas and personal and social meanings of your work
  • You discussed what is good in your work and what needs to be improved
    Your writing is clear with correct spelling, punctuation and usage

Competent:

Clarity of Initial Image

  • Your picture includes a symbol, but the symbol does not indicate the relationship

Painting

  • Two of your three paintings demonstrate an understanding of monochromatic, analogous, and complimentary color schemes.
  • Two of the three images communicate a mood or feeling

Self Evaluation

  • Your analysis demonstrates an understanding of two of the color schemes: monochromatic, analogous, and complementar
  • In your interpretation you list symbol(s), but your discussion is very limited
    You discussed what is good in your work and what needs to be improved
    Your writing is clear with minor spelling, punctuation and usage errors

Beginning:

Clarity of Initial Image

  • Your picture includes you, but there are no symbols

Painting

  • You need to think more about the differences among monochromatic, analogous, and complimentary color schemes
  • You have not selected colors to demonstrate these schemes.

Self Evaluation

  • Your analysis of the color schemes--monochromatic, analogous, and complementary--is not correct, or is missing
  • Your interpretation includes only meaning and feelings; there is no discussion of symbols
  • You discussed what is good in your work OR what needs to be improved, but not both
