Lesson 3. Assessment Rubric of Self Criticism Paper

Advanced: You included a description, analysis, and interpretation of your cartoon using examples and logical explanations; you included the opinion of someone else. You used correct grammar, spelling and punctuation and included varied sentence structure.

Competent: You included a description, analysis, and interpretation of your cartoon, but used only 1 or 2 examples and gave explanations for your answers in only 1 or 2 cases. Your discussion of the opinion of someone else is incomplete. You had 1 or 2 errors in grammar, spelling and/or punctuation; and your sentences lacked variety in structure.

Beginning: You included only three of the four topics. The answers are understandable but lack examples. You didn't include the response to your cartoon from someone else. You had a number of errors in grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Unsatisfactory: You had answers to two or fewer or the four topics and your answers are very short, have no examples and may not appear to be logical. You have a number of errors in grammar, spelling and punctuation.
