Program Description
CHILDREN JUST LIKE ME The Tucson Children's Museum is the first stop on a national tour for an extraordinary new exhibit entitled Children Just Like Me. Developed by Cincinnati's Museum Center, this traveling exhibit promotes cultural understanding between our region's children and their peers worldwide. The Children Just Like Me exhibit includes an exploration of the eleven vignettes and the stories of each of the children, from places as diverse as an Aboriginal community in Australia to the remote coast of Baffin Island in the Arctic Ocean. Tours of the exhibition are available and include a hands-on activity related to one of the countries and a classroom curriculum guide.
January 24, 2003 - May 4, 2003

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS EXHIBIT In an effort to introduce and educate children, families and the community on the compelling Mexican tradition of Dia De Los Muertos, the Tucson Children's Museum will be hosting a 1200 square foot exhibit. The month long installation includes 4' paper mache Calacas at a flea market, and building of traditional altares. Tours of the exhibition are available and include a hands-on activity related to the holiday run by our staff and a classroom curriculum guide. November 28, 2002
