Program Description
Tucson Arts Connections is a UApresents and Tucson Unified School District collaborative project. Its components reinforce and enhance the UApresents School Time Matinee series. All teachers attending the matinees are invited to participate in free pre-performance In-Services conducted by local Teaching Artists. Participatory activities and classroom integration are the focus of the in-services. Teacher study guides and audiotapes are provided. Students may work directly with local Teaching Artists in the classroom before or after each performance – the cost for classroom workshops is $110 for a 45 minute session.  All schools and school districts are invited to participate. (The Fine Arts Summer Institute, which previews the upcoming Matinee Series, is available to all teachers.)

How to Schedule
School Time Matinee schedule and tickets are available from UApresents. Pre-concert teacher In-Services are held approximately two weeks prior to each matinee performance. Classroom workshops are scheduled to take place after each matinee performance.  Attendance at the in-services is a pre-requisite for classroom workshops.
